Enhancing the Learner Experience in Higher Education is an interdisciplinary, open-access, peer-reviewed e-journal published by the University of Northampton. According to their focus and scope statement, the journal is committed to evidence-informed practice and aims “to enhance the student experience of learning by an engaged commitment to the student voice”.
The journal, which is published twice-yearly welcomes contributions by new authors as well as more established ones. Prospective authors are invited to submit:
- articles reporting on credible empirical research and theorising the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of enhancing the student experience in HE (3,000-6,000 words);
- critical case studies of institutional practice out of which original conceptualisations of enhancing the student experience can be considered (the ‘what’ questions) (3,000-4,000 words);
- shorter reports of work-in-progress (max. 2000 words)
- book reviews (500-1000 words)
The deadline for submissions for the next edition of the journal is 4th September 2013.
