Upcoming complexity MOOCs

The Santa Fe Institute (SFI) are offering three free Complexity-related MOOCs, starting on Monday, 29 September 2014.

  • Introduction to Complexity, an introductory course taught by Melanie Mitchell, is a great entry point to complexity thinking. You can see Mitchell introducing the course in the video below. Introduction to Complexity will run from 29 September to 14 December 2014.
  • Nonlinear Dynamics:  Mathematical and Computational Approaches, to be taught by Liz Bradley, will “cover dynamics and chaos from both theoretical and practical perspectives, with emphasis on mathematical and computational tools”. This course, too, will run from 29 September to 14 December 2014.
  • Mathematics for Complex Systems is a collection of tutorials covering mathematical concepts that are of relevance to complexity science. This course is still in the process of being developed and new units will be uploaded when ready.

More information about the courses can be found in the SFI’s website.
