The 22nd Annual University of Texas at Arlington Student Conference in Linguistics & TESOL (UTASCILT 22) will take place in Arlington, Texas, on the 19th and 20th of February 2015. The meeting is described as:
A student-led conference specifically designed to give graduate students a chance to present their original research. This is a great opportunity to join students from across America and around the world to present research on language.
Call for papers
Submissions are invited for this conference, which focus on all areas of linguistics and TESOL. Both oral and poser presentations are welcome. Oral presentations will be allocated 20-minute slots, with 5 minutes for discussion and questions. The conference organisers note that: “Poster and oral presentations are considered, accepted, and judged as equal counterparts”. The Yumi Nakamura Memorial Prize in Linguistics, a cash prize, will be awarded to the best presentations.
Abstracts (500 words max., 12 pt. font or larger, with any graphs or references in an additional page) should be submitted electronically via EasyAbs by 30 November 2014, and notification of acceptance will be given in December 2014.
