The 14th Symposium on Second Language Writing (SSLW 2015) will take place on 19th – 21st November 2015, at the Auckland University of Technology. The theme of the conference is: Learning to write for academic purposes: Advancing theory, research and practice.
Keynote speakers include:
- Ken Hyland, University of Hong Kong, China
- Rosa Manchón, University of Murcia, Spain
- Paul Kei Matsuda, Arizona State University, USA
Call for papers
Proposals are invited for 20-minute presentations on any topic related to theory, research, or teaching of L2 writing in academic contexts. Proposals, which should include a 50-word summary and a 300-word abstract, must be submitted electronically via the online proposal submission form (link no longer active), by Friday, 27th February 2015 (21:59 New Zealand Time). Notification of acceptance will be given by 27th March 2015. Interested authors are advised that the same person may submit one first-authored paper, and a total of two papers.
Registration Fees
The registration fee covers admission to all presentations, the Welcome Reception and refreshments for the duration of the conference. The optional Symposium Dinner is not covered.
