The upcoming special issue of the Journal of Applied Linguistics (JAL) (e-ISSN: 2408-025X), which is published annually by the Greek Association of Applied Linguistics, invites contributions that critically explore the interface between artificial intelligence (AI) and applied linguistics, with a particular focus on language education.
As AI technologies continue to reshape how we teach, learn, and research languages, this issue, edited by Alexandra Fiotaki (University of the Aegean), Athanasios Karasimos (Democritus University of Thrace) and Nikos Mathioudakis (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), seeks to bring together diverse perspectives that illuminate both the opportunities and challenges of this emerging landscape.
